The Office of Legal Recruitment Bureau fills exempt positions. This includes attorneys, investigators, non-legal professional staff and confidential support staff. The vast majority of our attorney positions fall into the exempt class where there is no written test. Incumbents of exempt positions serve at the pleasure of the Attorney General.
The Office of Legal Recruitment Bureau also handles student applications. Volunteer internships and externships for course credit are available for undergraduate, graduate and law students. Students must be enrolled as a full time student to qualify.
The Human Resources Management Bureau fills positions mostly off of lists generated from civil service, where candidates have taken an examination for the title. Some exams are written tests while others are an evaluation of your education and experience. A smaller number of positions are filled non-competitive, where minimum qualifications are required but where there is no written examination.
